The Principles
ECT® technology utilizes Binary Mixtures as specially formulated chemical reactants. These reactants are injected into the well as aqueous solutions, initiating transformative processes within the reservoir pay zone. Directed to the New Oil Generation Injection Spearhead, the chemicals react, generating energy and heating the pay zone while producing nitrogen gas.
ECT® enhances oil flow by significantly reducing oil viscosity and inducing positive changes of oil relative permeability, oil-water interfacial tensions and wettability, possibly enhancing gravity drainage in matrix. This advanced approach optimizes oil mobility, ensuring more efficient extraction processes and improved overall production.
The system is fully controlled by the NOG control and command unit, utilizing their in-house developed software platform. Technological guidelines ensure secure procedures, while the SIEMENS-based electronic control system allows for automatic, semi-automatic, and manual control. Real-time data from downhole sensors enables prompt adjustments for optimal performance and efficiency.
